In the ancient city of shushe and in Karabakh as a whole, many tribes and peoples lived. Each nation had its own original costume. Therefore, a native of Karabash could, by the cut and details of clothes, hats, shoes, and even preferences in the costume of a certain color, determine the belonging of the owner of the dress to a particular nation, tribe, or even the city district of Shushi.
